A Little Unscattered newsletter by Kris Licata. Issue #004: You have no idea how much your work matters

Here's something wild... you have absolutely no idea how much your work actually matters.

I know, I know.

You're probably thinking, "Kris, I just help people [insert what you do]." It might not feel earth-shattering, so when someone asks 'What do you do?' you downplay it.

But here's what you're missing.

As entrepreneurs, helping others is at the heart of what we do.

That client you helped get organized? She just launched the program she'd been putting off for months. And that program? It's helping working moms create businesses that fit their lives.

The person you modeled how to set boundaries? They finally said no to that project that was draining them. Now they have energy to volunteer at their kid's school and actually show up present for family dinners.

The business owner who learned to streamline their operations because of your work? They just hired their first employee. Someone now has a job, health insurance, and a chance to grow their career.

See the ripple?

Your "small" work isn't small at all.

It's creating space for people to make their own impact. And those impacts create more impacts.

It's like throwing a stone into a pond. You see the initial splash, but the ripples keep going long after the stone disappears underwater.

The ripples you can't see:

→ Better relationships because someone finally has work-life balance

→ Kids who get more present parents

→ New businesses launched because someone got unstuck

→ Jobs created because a business owner got organized

→ Communities strengthened because people have capacity to give back

You're solving more than just one problem for one person. You're creating conditions for them to solve problems for others.

That's not small work. That's multiplier work.

So the next time you catch yourself thinking "I'm just helping people with [insert your thing here]," remember this....

You're not just helping them. You're helping everyone their success touches.

Your work creates ripples you'll never see, in lives you'll never know about, for years to come.

That's pretty powerful, don't you think?
